Who I am
Second Reading is a trading name of Kennedy Ventures Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 16648448. Registered office: 2304 Wood Street House, Wood Street, Cardiff, CF10 1FZ.
Kennedy Ventures Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact me at dan@secondreading.co.uk.
What I collect
If you use the contact form, I collect the name, email address and message you send. When the form is submitted, Netlify also automatically records your IP address, browser details and the page you came from alongside it.
Why I use it
To reply to your enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a request you've made.
Who handles it
Netlify, which hosts this site, processes the form submission, checks it for spam, and forwards it to my business email, which runs on Google Workspace. The submission is deleted from Netlify automatically once it has been forwarded.
Netlify and Google may process data outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by appropriate safeguards.
How long I keep it
Messages are kept for 12 months and then deleted. If your enquiry becomes an ongoing working relationship, the correspondence becomes part of my business records and is kept for as long as needed for that relationship and my legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your information, and to ask me to correct it, delete it, or restrict how I use it. You can also object to my using it. To do any of these, email me at dan@secondreading.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and third parties
This site doesn't set any cookies, and it doesn't use analytics or any other tracking.
Everything on the site, including the fonts, is served by Netlify. Nothing is loaded from any other third party. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
